DU is considering its constituent colleges to find which one has embraced the useful practices for retaining a green and clean campus. A university official said on Tuesday. Following the evaluation, the winning college will be rewarded with the “Centenary Cup”. It has been initiated this year. The award will be granted on March 2 at the 65th Annual Flower Show. The venue is Gautam Buddha Centenary Garden, at the DU North Campus.
DU has chalked out a plan to take up India’s G20 presidency for the “internationalization of Indian education” through student exchange programs as well as agreements with foreign varsities as well as institutions. Now DU will have a green and clean campus.
University officials are coming over to the college to evaluate the green practices they have adopted.The colleges are being evaluated on the parameters such as waste recycling, composting, plastic-free awareness programs. Also the optimized consumption of water. This comprises rain-water harvesting and sewage treatment plants. It also comprises solar energy installations, and waste-to-energy plants.
DU CAN LAUNCH 18 NEW COURSES THIS SESSION
This will give an inspiration to the college to make a green and clean campus by lessening the carbon footprint, boosting the G20 summit’s slogan of ‘One Earth, One Family.

During the Annual flower show, the on-the-spot photography contest on the theme ‘Colors of Spring’ will be scheduled. The results of the contest will be announced on the day of the Flower Show.
GGS INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY BEGAN TEACHING THE JAPANESE LANGUAGE
Another competition during the occasion would be adorning a selfie point contest. It is on the themes of the Centennial celebrations of the University of Delhi G20, Colors of Spring. The university will also give the best male award. University has requested every college to send one entry.
India considered the presidency of the G20. On December 1 last year and over 200 meetings are scheduled. They are conducted at 55 locations across the country. It will terminate with a conference in Delhi in September.
