GGS Indraprastha University, with the Japanese Language Teaching Division. The Embassy of Japan has established a fifteen-week Certificate Course in the Japanese Language. This certificate course is available part-time as well as online mode. The university has also begun the online procedure of taking applications from the candidates for the same.

Ms. Matsuyama MIINA and Ms. Tomo Kawane, Senior Researcher, Indo-Japan Laboratory, Keio University. They reached the Dwarka campus of GGS Indraprastha University in New Delhi just to formally launch the new ambition. On behalf of IP University, the Director of its Directorate of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Vijita Singh Agrawal, and the Dean of Education and Humanities Prof. Vivek Sachdeva also joined them.

Laying tension on the significance of the Japanese language for Indian students. The chief guest Ms. Matsuyama MIINA said that the need to expand the number of Indian students learning the Japanese language and culture stems from a few reasons.

Ms. MIINA said that the number of Japanese companies in India has been increasing. There were only 267 Japanese companies in 2006, but the number evolved quickly to 1439 by 2021. Japan brings India as an important partner.

These companies require Indian people who not only speak the Japanese language but know its culture as well. The second reason is that Japan suffers from a lack of population. And skilled and capable educated Indians are the hope for Japan’s destiny. We have for that we have SSW as well as TITP schemes.

Director of International Affairs of the University, Prof. Vijita Singh Aggarwal said that as soon as this course was declared, an overwhelming response was acquired from the university students from all streams.

DU VICE CHANCELLOR URGED BY SISODIA TO BUILD GOVERNING BODIES SOON

This course will begin on March 4 in the year 2023. Two batches for those who apply by March 4 in the year 2003. Online classes of one hour each will be executed on Saturdays as well as Sundays. In the evening so that more and more public can take benefit of them. The course fee has been retained at only five thousand rupees. To finish this course, students will also be handed over with an option to figure out Japanese culture and lifestyle. Anyone curious about learning Japanese can take this course.

Later while reacting to this course, the Vice-Chancellor of the University. Padma Prof. Dr. Mahesh Verma said that In the recent scenario, the total world has been reduced to a ‘Global Village’.

Dean of Education and Humanities Prof. Vivek Sachdeva said the School of Humanities was assigned to launch certificate as well as diploma courses in other foreign languages. It contains Japanese such as German with the use of respective embassies.
