Miranda House Platinum Jubilee
The University of Delhi hosted the Founder’s Day event on March 7th and 8th at Miranda House. It was attended by faculty, students, and alumnae. The gathering commemorated the college’s platinum jubilee. Miranda House has been around 75 years since its founding. This year’s event aimed to honor seventy-five distinguished alumnae of Miranda House. They have made notable contributions in various fields.

The event took place on International Women’s Day. Dr. Ajailiu Niumai, a distinguished alumna, was honored as the ‘Outstanding and Distinguished Alumni of Miranda House, Delhi University.’

Among the distinguished awardees were Prof. Kiran Datar, former Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University and former Principal of Miranda House. Dr. Ila Singh, Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General, was among the esteemed recipients. They celebrated Dr. Madhu Purnima Kishwar, the founder editor of Manushi, India’s inaugural feminist journal. They also felicitated Dikshya Routray, a film director, creative producer, and writer. Additionally, they acknowledged Priti Agrawal, from the Indian Postal Service, for her achievements. They recognized Dr. Sujata Roy Abhijat, from the Philosophy Department at Delhi University, for her contributions. Furthermore, they honored several others on the occasion.
