100th Annual Convocation Overview

The University of Delhi has scheduled its Annual Convocation for February 24, 2024, at 9:00 AM. During this event, Medals/Prizes will be awarded to outstanding students. Degrees will also be conferred upon successful candidates of the 2023 examinations. The convocation will take place at the Multipurpose Hall. It is located within the Delhi University Sports Stadium Complex, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007. We will admit candidates for their respective degrees, including Ph.D./D.M./M.Ch. They will receive invitations for the distribution of medals and prizes during the Convocation ceremony.

Entry for the Ceremony

Candidates seeking admission to their Degree in person, as well as recipients of medals/awards, must ensure they bring an e-invitation card. We will send this card at a later date. They must also bring a letter duly attested by the relevant authority (Dean of the Faculty/Head of the Department/Supervisor/Principal/Administrative Officer). Additionally, they must bring a valid form of identification for entry to the Convocation venue. Each candidate may bring one parent/guest to accompany them into the Multipurpose Hall at the Delhi University Sports Stadium Complex.

Eligibility for 100th Annual Convocation

The Convocation will only admit candidates eligible for the following degrees in person:

  1. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D in all disciplines)
  2. D.M. (Cardiology)
  3. D.M.(Gastroenterology)
  4. D.M.(Neurology)
  5. M.Ch.(Cardio-Vascular and Thoracic Surgery)
  6. M.Ch.(Gastroenterology Surgery)
  7. M.Ch.(Neuro-Surgery)
  8. M.Ch.(Pediatric Surgery)
  9. M.Ch.(Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery)

Ceremony Guidelines

We encourage candidates to follow the guidelines below to uphold the sanctity and tradition of the Convocation Ceremony:

  1. Once the final roll call is over, we will not entertain requests for receiving the degree/medal prize “in Person.”
  2. Please stand upon the entrance of the procession into the Hall. Remain standing until all members of the procession have taken their seats.
  3. Throughout the entire ceremony, maintain silence.
  4. Stand during the National Anthem and continue standing until the Procession, Distinguished Guests, and other guests have left the Hall.
  5. Follow the instructions provided by the officials on duty in the Hall.
  6. Electronic gadgets, handbags, and any kind of arms/sharp objects are prohibited inside the venue. We do not provide storage for belongings on-site.
  7. Inside the Venue, food and drink items are not permitted.
  8. Consider using the Delhi Metro Rail for commuting as parking space is limited.
  9. Mobile phones are prohibited inside the venue.
  10. Candidates who fail to receive their degree in person at the Convocation will have it sent to their respective faculty/department/center afterward. For further information, please visit the official website of Delhi University.
