Last Monday, a horrific incident was reported from Haryana. A 24-year-old woman was gang-raped by 5 men after they kidnaped her from Gurugram.
After a late-night shift in Gurugram, the woman was returning home when the crime took place. The victim entered a cab at 3 am from IFFCO Chowk when 3 men kidnapped her. They took her to a farm and allegedly gang-raped her in the Jhajjar district.
The 3 accused were joined by two 2 men when the cab reached Jhajjar. According to a report, she was locked in the cab by the accused who consumed alcohol before gang-raping her.
The victim was raped till morning and was later left near Farrukhnagar. Later, the woman was rescued by police at around 6.30 am on Monday after she called the police for help.
The police have not arrested any accused so far. Authorities say the victim has given them some names- Manoj, Pankaj, Vicky-which she heard.
The victim lives in Dwarka and works at a bar from 7 pm-3 am shift in a Gurugram mall on MG Road. She had been taking the same route to her home for a month.
The victim went to IFFCO Chowk on Sunday night and waited for a cab. One cab driver accepted to drop her at Dwarka Mod and she boarded it.
The report quoted the victim as saying the cab stopped near her. Apart from the driver, 2 other people were already sitting in the cab. She told the driver that she needs to go to Dwarka Mod. The cab driver said he was going in the same direction and conceded to drop me. Once she was in the cab, she fell asleep. Sometime later, she woke up and saw a board that said ‘Pataudi’. When she asked them where they were taking her, they threatened to kill her.
