DU Open Book Exam guidelines mention that answer sheets should only be submitted on the OBE Portal. Hence, no other platforms will be entertained by the DU under any circumstances. However, many students mailed their answers after observing issues and lags in the DU Open Book Examination Portal.
Why is DU Open Book Exam Portal now accepting the email method?
The students who appeared for the OBE gave feedbacks about the portal. Hence, they mentioned about the obstacles faced while uploading the answer sheets within the given estimated time.
DU Open Book Exam did kick start on 12th December 2020. However, many colleges witnessed emails from students even though it was also mentioned on the answer sheet to not use any other platform for submission. Nodal Officer, College of Vocational Studies, said that they received around 500 emails from students who did face technical issues.
STUDENTS RELIVE THEIR NIGHTMARE IN OBE PHASE 2 OF DU
Take of DU OBE on this issue:
Therefore, the Delhi University administration did work upon quick solutions. All the 1.5 lakh students appearing for DU Open Book Exam were sent an E-mail on Sunday and were informed about the available options in case of difficulty. Hence, mailing the answer was considered as the last resort after every other fail. The Dean Examination did spread this message on Sunday, after receiving reports from Saturday.
Hence, a time frame of 5hours is provided now. However, in case the student is still not able to upload answers due to network issue or any other reason, the answer script can be submitted to the nodal officers in a college. Hence, even though 5 hours are enough, justifiable reasons would be entertained.
