Details of Russian Honors UG at DU

This academic session sees the introduction of a Russian Honors undergraduate program. Delhi University provides an undergraduate program in Russian honors. This program is offered through the Department of Slavonic and Finno-Ugrian Studies. It is a three-year full-time program. The program emphasizes the development of fluency in the Russian language. Deadline Extension

On Friday, Delhi University issued an information bulletin regarding the undergraduate admissions process. This process is facilitated through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The NTA extended the application deadline from March 26 to March 31. This extension allows prospective students more time to complete their applications for DU’s undergraduate programs. Contrary to previous years, students now have the option to select up to six subjects. These choices encompass languages and the general test.

Admissions Process at Delhi University

In the previous academic year, DU combined categories A and B. This allowed students to select one language and a minimum of three subjects from a pool of 27 domain-specific options. This year, the university will offer admission to 71,000 seats across 68 colleges. These seats encompass 79 undergraduate programs, which include 198 BA programs. Students will have a choice of over 1,550 subject combinations.

Admissions to Delhi University are facilitated through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). This system comes into effect following the conclusion of CUET.

DU announces admission to B.Tech. courses without JEE

As per the 2024–25 calendar, CUET graduate examinations are slated for May 15–31. These exams encompass four categories. They cover languages, domain-specific subjects, and a general test. The results are anticipated to be released by June 30. However, variations may occur due to the Lok Sabha election schedule.

The DU website’s information bulletin provides comprehensive details on admission eligibility. It also includes information on college-wise seat distribution and subject-specific guidelines.

In the previous year, Delhi University admitted 69,622 students through multiple merit rounds. Approximately 1,000 seats remained vacant after the admissions process.

Supernumerary Category for Orphans Introduced at AUD

Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has introduced CUET-based admissions for a total of 1,123 seats. The university distributes these seats across 19 different programs. In addition to reserving 134 seats for foreign students, 18 for single girl children, and 18 each for sports and co-curricular quotas, AUD has introduced a supernumerary category. This category allocates one seat for orphans in every program.

Deadline Extension at Indraprastha University (IPU)

Indraprastha University (IPU) has announced an extension of the online application deadline for all programs. The new deadline is April 10, citing ongoing Class XII board examinations.

Admissions Process Updates at Universities

Students are now able to apply for all programs until April 10. This includes programs admitting students through national-level tests, university-run entrance tests, and merit-based programs. CUET will fill any remaining vacancies. Additionally, the university is considering CUET scores for some undergraduate and postgraduate programs. However, it will give preference to common entrance test (CET) scores.
