DU B.Tech. programs without JEE Overview

Delhi University offers a diverse range of B.Tech. programs. These courses usually require the applicants to clear the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains for admission. However, certain B.Tech. programs at DU do not mandate a JEE Mains score. For example, admission to the B.Tech. in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation program at DU does not require the JEE test. Instead, candidates can gain admission by taking the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) exam. The B.Tech. program in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation is overseen by the Cluster Innovation Center of Delhi University.

Available Seats

The Cluster Innovation Center of DU allocates 50 seats for B.Tech. Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation courses. Among these, the general category has 20 designated seats, while 7 seats are allocated for SC, 4 for ST, 14 for OBC, and 5 for the economically backward (EWS) minority category.

Tuition Fee and Affordability of the Program

The tuition fee for the programs B.Tech. Information Technology (IT) and Mathematical Innovation (MI) at DU’s Cluster Innovation Center amounts to Rs 5,000 per semester. This presents a more economical option compared to many other engineering colleges. Additionally, an additional refundable security fee of Rs 1000 is necessary for admission. Interested candidates are encouraged to visit the official website of the Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC) at https://cic.du.ac.in/. The official website contains detailed information regarding the fee structure and seat availability.

Fee Waivers and Support

These DU B.Tech. courses are recognized for being affordable. The center underwent a significant initiative last year. They made efforts to assist economically disadvantaged students by providing fee waivers. The standard annual fee for most B.Tech courses at DU stands at Rs 2.16 lakh. However, students from families with annual incomes up to Rs 4 lakh will receive relief from any fee obligations.
