Due to Corona, the Delhi government has extended the lockdown till June 7. Because of the lockdown in Delhi, Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University (DU and JNU) has decided to keep its campus closed for the time being.

In a statement issued by JNU, the university said, Dr. BR Ambedkar Central Library will remain strictly closed till 9 am on June 7.

The JNU has also directed the security branch to ensure all Covid regulations, including wearing masks and maintaining social distance at all places inside the premises.

Other than this, the security branch has also been notified to place pickets at many places inside the beliefs to ensure the movement of persons and vehicles and to avoid the unnecessary activity of people on the roads during the curfew time.

At the same time, Delhi University, in a statement, announced the closure of the university and said that the university will remain closed from 05.06.2021 till 05:00 am. The university also said in a statement that DU employees should attend their duties as per the schedule and requirements.

These steps are taken by the DU and JNU because of the lockdown and to follow all the rules and regulations.
