DU Students' Union

DU Students’ Union is raising its voice for the students who lost their parents amidst this pandemic. Thus, the Union says that Delhi University should take certain steps and refund the fees paid by such students. This plea by the DU Students’ Union was made on Sunday, 30th May 2021. Also, they made demands for the final year students appearing for exams in June 2021. Thus, those students who are unable to appear for end-semester exams due to the covid-19 crisis should be given a second chance.

DU Students’ Union voicing on behalf of all DU students:

The Union held a meeting on Sunday with student bodies for all the DU-affiliated colleges. Approximately 52 college unions President participated. So, they deliberated on all the problems arising in the academic year 2021 due to the covid-19 crisis. DUSU President, Vice President, and Joint Secretary said in a joint statement that the problems of each student are taken into consideration. Their statement says, “We are trying our best to address the issues of each DU student.”

All grievances will be addressed thoroughly and solutions will be brought up. Thus, the meeting made sure to assist all students.

DU students’ Union on the June exams:

The union says that students opting for Assignment based exams, i.e. the ABE mode should be given another chance for submission. Many DU students were not able to submit assignments in time due to covid-19. Thus, a second chance is valid. Also, attendance should not be a proportion for the evaluation of marks.

Many students who have lost their parents due to covid are suffering from a financial crisis. Thus, it a wise decision to refund their fees and aid them in any possible way.
