The North Campus of Delhi University has come under the auspices of Corona. More than half of the employees in the examination department have been infected. Cases of infection continue to be reported in other departments including the School of Open Learning, Department of Pensions. Therefore, DU can be closed for seven to 10 days. A concrete decision is likely to be taken in a meeting of high-ranking officials on Monday.

A highly placed DU official said that 15 cases of infection occurred at the School of Open Learning on Saturday. There are a total of eight officials in the examination department, out of which six have been infected. The Department of Anthropology has already been closed. Many employees also in the pension department and college department. Possibility of taking any concrete decision in this meeting of high-ranking officials today

ADMISSION PROCESS WILL START BY MID-JUNE

DU admission process will be delayed for the second consecutive year, due to the lockdown last year, the admission process was started late. This year, the admission process of DU will be affected due to the postponement of the 12th examination of various states of the country including CBSE. DU administration told that CBSE will decide on the examination in the first week of June. After this DU will make its admission decision.

Moreover, DU sources said that the hostel includes the closure of the university on Monday. Guidelines may be issued soon. DU will advise students to go home. Also, some restrictions can be placed in the hostel, including the campus. Entry of outsiders is strictly prohibited.

DU Registrar Dr. Vikas Gupta said that cases were coming up in various departments of the University. We closed departments to break the chain of transition.
