On Friday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released guidelines for the preparation of class 12 board results. These guidelines are meant for assisting schools in preparing the results for Class 12 board exams.

An IT system is being developed, as per a CBSE notification, which will be made available to the schools. It is meant for the declaration of Class 12 board results.

The official notification further read that this system will ease the calculation work and hence reduce time. This will cut down a lot of hassle. The system will also be used for calculating the marks of students who passed from class 10 on the CBSE board.

To assist the schools in the preparation of results for both class 10 and 12, CBSE will also establish a help desk from next week.

For those students only who passed class 10 from other boards, schools will have to provide class 10 theory marks. Along with class-12 proposed final theory marks based on unit test, midterm, and pre-board, schools will also have to keep class 10 and Class-11 final theory marks in soft form.
