Statement of Vice-Chancellor P C Joshi on DU Admissions 2021:

On Thursday, 17th June 2021, the DU VC said that a major chunk of confusion has been clarified. Thus, students can look forward to starting college in time this year. CBSE’s declaration of its evaluation process will lead to a timely announcement of results. He also added that the union education ministry is yet to take a final decision on the fate of the Common entrance exams. So, the varsity will continue DU admissions 2021 as per CBSE’s criteria. As per the board, the 12th results will be declared by 31st July 2021.

The evaluation process of CBSE:

The class 13th evaluation criteria is an amalgamation based on class 10th, 11th, and 12th scores. As per the policy, 30 percent weightage to class 10th scores and 30 percent to 11th scores will be given. Thus, the rest of 40 percent weightage will be given to class 12th mid-term or pre-board scores. Thus, many state boards would take inspiration from CBSE and declare results based on some devised evaluation criteria.
