The Central Board of Secondary Education has released a notification to CBSE affiliated schools to conduct re-exams. As per the notice students who failed in 9th and 11th classes should be provided an opportunity to appear for re-exams. The alternative was first provided on May 13 and now CBSE has asked to the extent this opportunity to all the students.
As per the reports, the CBSE board received this information that few schools are not acknowledging its decision and therefore not providing another chance to students reappear for exams. The notice has been issued after the board realized that few schools are not allowing class 9th and 11th failed students to give re-exams.
The notice states that the board noticed that CBSE affiliated schools are being deceived claiming that till the duration LPA No. 154 of 2020, Rukmini Devi Public School vs. CBSE honed in the Honorable Delhi High Court is not disposed of, there is no necessity of acknowledging the Notification issued on 13.05.2020 by the institutes and schools. The notice further states that the CBSE affiliated schools are not prolonging the chance to reappear in exams to the students who failed in the 9th and 11th.
The notification from CBSE claims that Delhi High Court during the case hearing has not suppressed the notification released on May 13. The CBSE has further asked schools to accept the notification released on May 13 mad do not mislead.

CBSE’S PLAN TO ASSESS CLASS 10TH AND 12TH STUDENTS WITHOUT EXAMS
The CBSE board stated that schools can decide on their own and conduct online/offline/creative tests. The schools are advised to conduct tests and promote students on the basis of those tests.
The notice released by the board asserted that all the students of 9th and 11th standard should be offered an opportunity to reappear in the exams. The board has further advised schools to provide adequate time to students to prepare for the school-based re-exams. The decision was taken by the CBSE board as a one time measure.
CBSE EXAMS CANCELED: RESULTS TO BE DECLARED BY JULY 15
While Central Board of Secondary Education in its latest notification stated that all the class 10th and class 12th students will be promoted on the basis of exams conducted in February-March. The students who feel dissatisfied with the CBSE’s notice can opt for appearing for pen and paper exams to be conducted when the situation gets stable.
