The Supreme Court of India has approved the assessment scheme of allotting marks proposed by CBSE for the canceled class 10th and class 12th exams. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release results if students on the basis of internal assessments and the examinations that have already been administered before the lockdown. The CBSE has declared openly that the class 10th and class 12th results will be announced by 15th July 2020.
Upcoming CBSE class 10th and 12th exams have been canceled and the board has announced that the students willing to improve their scores may appear for the exams on a later day when the situation gets stable.

CBSE 10th EXAMS NOT TO BE HELD,12TH EXAM MADE OPTIONAL: CBSE TO SUPREME COURT
The SC was hearing a petition filed by a group of parents and guardians which demanded the cancelation of leftover board exams amid the pandemic situation. The petition requested the CBSE board results to be announced on the basis of the scores of assignments, internal assessments, and exams already conducted.
Along with the CBSE board, the ICSE board exams have also been canceled. The same criteria for declaring results apply to ICSE board results.
CBSE Assessment Scheme
According to the assessment scheme proposed by CBSE, the students who have finished all their board exams will be marked on the basis of their exam results. The students who have appeared for more than three subjects will be marked as per the average of the best of three subjects for the remaining exams. The students who have appeared for only three subjects in the past months will be assessed on the basis of the average of the best of two subjects for the remaining subjects. The students who have written only one or two board exams will be assessed on the basis of internal assessments. Also, the students who are primarily from Delhi will be permitted to appear for the exams at a later date.
STUDENTS DEMANDING TO CANCEL JEE MAINS, NEET AND CBSE EXAMS
The Judges Sanjiv Khanna, AM Khanwilkar, and Dinesh Maheshwari who constituted the three-judge bench for the petition hearing have asked CBSE to formulate a deadline for students. The CBSE is asked to announce a deadline for students to decide whether they want to appear for the exams or wat to get promoted on the basis of past assessments. The SC further ordered that CBSE holds the decision to further cancel the option to conduct the remaining CBSE examinations.
The CBSE moreover took the charge of cancellation of few CBSE examinations earlier in Northeast Delhi due to riots and took responsibility to assess the internal exams of such students.
