Delhi government has recently issued an order statement prohibiting that no school in Delhi can ask students to visit the school for any of the activities or academics till 20th September. The studies and academics will continue to be taught via online mode in Delhi schools.
The statement issued by the Delhi government stated that no Delhi school can call the students for any of the activities till September 20.
According to the Unlock 4.0 guidelines, all educational institutes and schools in India will remain shut till 30th September amid the coronavirus pandemic. However, 9th to 12th standard students can visit their schools outside the containment zones along with the written permission of their guardians or parents if they need the help of any of their teachers or for some other school work.
The guidelines state that the schools can however be reopened for staff members and teachers in non-containment zones.
The order issued by the Delhi Government makes it clear that 9th to 12th standard students can go to school to take the guidance or help of their teachers only after 20th September. The student must seek written approval of their parents to do so if the student’s residence does not fall in the containment zone. The decision will therefore be voluntary.

DELHI SCHOOLS WILL NOT REOPEN UNTIL STUDENTS ARE SAFE
About 50% of Delhi school staff members will be called to attend schools at a time after 20th September. From 21st September onwards, 50% non-teaching and teaching staff members will be called to the schools in non-containment zones at a time for school work and online studies.
The statement comes after the Union Hime Ministry issued the guidelines for Unlock 4 on August 29. It allowed the continuation of online classes in schools around the nation.
On the other hand, on Friday Delhi reported the highest single-day spike of around 2,914 coronavirus cases. The tally of active coronavirus cases in Delhi has reached 1.85 lakh. The death tally has reached 4,513 with 13 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Notably, this is September’s fourth consecutive day when over 2,000 fresh coronavirus cases have arrived in a day.
On June 27, the national capital reported 2,948 coronavirus cases, which has become the second-highest single-day spike in Delhi after September 3.
