At DU Faculty of Arts, the Students Islamic Organisation and Muslim Student Federation staged a protest. The protest was all about the arrest of BJP functionaries Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. Both the parties gave controversial remarks against the prophet Mohammad, that ended up claiming arrest warrants against them.
The protest was held in different parts of the country. Consequently, the federation also raised its voice against violence at the Faculty of Arts.

The police detained the student federation at the time of protest. Many activists were a part of their force. However, they have denied this allegation.

Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal passed their negative remarks against Prophet Mohammad. Their remarks resulted in protests in different countries. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Iran were a part of it. Consequently, BJP took immediate action against its functionaries and witnessed that it respects all religions.
