Rohan Arora is currently pursuing B.Com Hons at College of Vocational Studies and is in his 3rd year. Yet he is not one of the regular DU lads. By regular I mean lurking around the campus clueless like the most of us, confused about what the future holds in store for us.
A born artist, he has music in his veins and acting skills up his sleeve. This may also, well be an understatement for the talent he possesses. He was introduced to the love of his life, the guitar, a hobner to begin with, at the age of 10.
Most of us won’t be able to express our emotions in our first language the way his instrument talks. He gave his first solo for a Disney channel production – Shooting Stars at the age of 14. Right after that he started playing for a local Delhi band- Aayudh and the band was later covered by Aaj Tak. He also performed at the Team Welcome ceremony of the Common Wealth Games, Delhi 2010.
This young talent was awarded by the then Chief Minster of Delhi- Shrimati Sheila Dixit for a self created short movie for Intach titled Delhi- The Heritage City.
In 2014 he entered the college phase, by that time becoming a professional guitarist and an asset to the CVS music society. The college band then stood first at “Unplugged” and second at “Tarang- The Battle of Bands” Oasis, BITS Pilani in 2014.
Amidst this, fueling the acting side of him, he started off with television commercials. Till date he has been part of TVCs for the brands of the stature of Airtel, Hero MotoCorp, Hotstar, ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, Omaxe, Honda, Nissan amongst others.
Now in his third year, he is the President of the CVS music society- Arpeggio. He also plays as a sessions guitarist for The Sufi Rock band -Nasya and off late, he has composed the entire musical score for 2 French plays- Zazie dans le Metro and L’avare at the Alliance Francaise De Delhi.
He is ambitious and just won’t settle. Watch out for his renditions of popular Numbers and some original music on His new music channel on Youtube: bit.do/rohanarora
