Jamia Milia Islamia, JMI began its entrance examination for Ph.D. today. They held the exam in offline mode. JMI held two shifts of exam in the campus itself. The authorities took care of all the norms and protocols. They said that the Ph.D. entrance exam will continue till 28th June 2021.

Students appeared for the Ph.D. entrance test to seek admission into the Faculty of Humanities and Languages. Moreover, they can also take admission into the Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics. Around 12000 students applied for the Ph.D. programmme in JMI in different departments.

Najma Akhtar is the vice-chancellor of JMI. She said that it was challenging for the varsity to hold an offline entrance exam during the pandemic. But, it was really important for them to hold the entrance exam. They conducted the exam successfully

SEATING ARRANGEMENT FOR PARENTS AT JMI

Everybody followed COVID-19 norms and protocols while appearing for the entrance test. The authorities sanitized the examination centre one day before. Moreover, students brought their water bottles and sanitizers. Seating arrangements were done taking care of social distancing norms. Students also have their temperature checked and wore masks. JMI said that they also arranged a separate place for the parents to sit.
Consequently, the examination was successfully conducted by taking care of proper norms.
