Days after the release of the date sheet for Class 10th and Class 12th CBSE board exam, students and teachers across the country are demanding postponement of the JEE Main exams last phase. Notably, the Joint Entrance Test (JEE Main 2021 exam) last attempt is scheduled to be conducted from 24th May which is clashing with the biology paper of CBSE class 12th students on 24th May.
Moreover, CBSE computer science students are also not satisfied as their board exam will be conducted a day after the JEE Main 2021. Pointing on the impact of JEE Main 2021 on class 12th board exams, a student from Delhi Public School said that the syllabus and course for both the CBSE board exam and JEE test are different.
A class 12th student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Smita Vala said that I have opted for chemistry, physics, Maths, and biology so that I can sit for both NEET and JEE exams. While the schedule for NEET 2021 is not yet released, I was hoping to get free from my board exams before appearing for JEE exam.
National Testing Agency Dismisses Possibility of Dates Clashes
Speaking of the issue, an NTA official had earlier dismissed the possibility of clashes, adding that students who have to appear for the exam on 24th will not be allotted a slot for JEE Main 2021 on the same day.
JEE Main to be conducted four times
This year the National Testing Agency will be conducting the JEE Main exam four times. The first session of the entrance test will begin on 23rd February. The entrance test will be held in CBT mode only, except the B.Arch. Drawing Test which will be conducted in Pen and Paper offline mode.
