The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and Indian School of Business (ISB) has been ranked in the top 100 institutes list of Financial Times Global MBA ranking (FT Global MBA ranking 2021). As per the list released on Monday, the Indian School of Business has been ranked at 23rd position. IIM Calcutta has secured 44th position, IIM Banglore has landed 35th rank, IIM Ahmedabad ranked at 48th place, whereas IIM Indore at 94th position in the FT Global MBA ranking 2021.
Above all, this is for the first time when IIM Indore has secured a place in the top 100 rankings. While ISB improved its position by four places as compared to last year, the IIM Ahmedabad climbed 13th place. Whereas IIM Banglore and IIM Calcutta positions dropped to 8 and 2 this year respectively.
Total 143 Institutions to part in FT Global MBA Ranking 2021
A total of 143 institutes took part in the FT Global MBA ranking 2021 edition. All participating institutes meet the Financial Time’s criteria, including being accredited by AACSB or Equis. The ranking of schools is done as per 20 different criteria that together correspond to 61% of its weight. Out of which eleven criteria are calculated as per school data, accounting for 29% of the ranking. KPMG audits several institutes every year. The persisting criteria, including research rank, counts for 10% as per the FT report.
Financial Times Rankings have contemplated a parameter of quality of executives and MBA, businesses, and management education aspirants all operating at highly.
Meanwhile, the two top-ranked institutions of Uttar Pradesh, IIM Lucknow and IIT Kanpur Research and Technology have collaborated and signed an MoU to promote upcoming enterprises. The collaboration between the two premier institutions can not only foster close linkage between industry and academia but will further open new avenues for sharing of resources.
