Jamia Millia Islamia classes are to begin from 16 July 2022 in physical mode. Though, the campus is not reopening for the first semester. Their classes will commence at the beginning of next month.

According to the official JMI notification, “The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Vice-Chancellor, Najma Akhtar on the proposal by all the Dean of Faculties has approved to resume the campus in physical mode from 16 July. However, the classes of the first semester or year will begin later.”

Further, for the fresh batch (first year) students classes begin on 1 August. And, their examinations will conduct from 1 December and end on 15 December. Most importantly, the JMI admission process will end by 31 July 022.

University requested to complete maintenance work soon 

As Jamia Millia Islamia classes (except the first year) will begin shortly. Therefore, the university requested all the Deans of Faculties to complete the renovation and repairing work of classrooms and laboratories before starting offline classes.

Earlier on 2 March, the offline classes were already begun for final year PG students. Later, in the final year, undergraduate students also start taking offline classes in the middle of March.

However, the students of first and second-year undergraduate students are attending online classes. Also, the first-year post-graduate JMI students had been attending classes online mode.
