IIT Roorkee has recently declared two online certificate courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine learning, and Data Science in coalition with the Coursera. These two online courses by IIT Roorkee will be launched in the advent of 2021 on the Coursera.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine learning, and Data Science courses will be six months certificate courses. Furthermore, the online courses will include hand on hand learning opportunities, video lectures, tutorials, team projects, and workshops.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine learning, and Data Science courses will also educate traditional ML techniques to provide mathematical and coding knowledge. The programs will further provide hands-on hands expertise with robust ML, Tensorflow for model building, and power experimentation.
IIT Roorkee Data Science Courses and It’s Importance
The certificate course in data science will enable the learners to develop SQL and programming skills. So these skills are essential to make a career in data analytics. Moreover, these courses will provide machine learning algorithms and their knowledge to the students.
As per IIT Roorkee’s announcement students will not be required to persist a knowledge of coding in SQL, Python, or R to apply for these courses.
IIT Roorkee Collaborates with Coursera
A statement by IIT Roorkee said that the institute is delighted by collaborating with online platform Coursera. Director of IIT Roorkee, Ajit said the collaboration will assist to fulfill the objectives set up by the New Education Policy.
Not only IIT Roorkee but over 150 top Universities from around the globe including Imperial College of London, Stanford, and Yale University offer online courses on Coursera.
The Ministry of Education after releasing the New Education Policy asked the top 100 Indian Institutes and Universities to expand their online presence. Therefore start conducting online classes and webinars for students. The Ministry of Education released a separate set of guidelines for all these institutions. The varsities including IIMs, IITs, national institutes, and institutes of Eminence were permitted to conduct online courses. Therefore, permission to conduct online classes was given to these institutes at the time of the announcement of Union Budget.
