Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Madras in partnership with Power Grid Corporation of India has taken an initiative to create a scholarship fund.
Both the Institutes have recently signed an agreement on Saturday. In the agreement, it is mentioned that Power Grid Corporation would provide financial aid to the EWS, Economically Weaker Students. They will provide a fund of Rs.10.5 crore.
FINANCIAL AID TO EWS STUDENTS OF IIT MADRAS
In the year 2021-22, Madras has received such a huge amount from a single institution for the first time. This Scholarship amount will cover the tuition fee of the students of Madras. Women Students can pursue the course of STEM from the Institute.
PROGRAMMES OF STEM
The programs are specialized in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
