The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Delhi) is inviting applications for a funded project by the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) for research positions. The vacancies for research positions are available in two departments of IIT Delhi I.e. Department of Physics, and the Department of Textiles and Fiber Engineering.
Appointed candidates will be appointed by the institute temporarily and will be reimbursed a monthly salary of up to Rs. 63,400. Provided that there are two different vacancies in the institute and both the vacancies have different eligibility criteria.
Applications are being invited for doctoral degree holders and engineers for research vacancies vacant at DRDO projects.

Eligibility Criteria for Senior Project Scientist Position
Applicants who wish to apply for the position of Senior Project Scientist must be a Ph.D. holder in material science and engineering, textile engineering, operation management, or industrial engineering. Candidates must have obtained their degree with a first division or an equivalent in all the previous certificates and degrees.

Eligibility Criteria for Research Associate Position
Students applying for this DRDO position being offered by IIT Delhi must hold a first-class in mechanical engineering or allied areas or engineering design and an M.Tech degree. Those with MSc and B.Tech and a first-class or equivalent ranking with over three years of experience can also apply.
Candidates holding a Ph.D. in engineering fields or natural sciences with at least one research paper in SCI (Science Citation Journal) or work experience in relevant fields can also apply.
Applicants who wish to apply for the position of Research Associate are required to download the application form bearing number – REC4/IRD from the IRD website of Indian Institute of Management Delhi and further email their applications along with the necessary documents to Professor Amartya Sengupta at amartya@physics.iitd.ac.in before 25th February 2021 till 5:00 P.M.
