Environmentalist Greta Thunberg urges out in favor of the postponement of JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020. Due to the ongoing pandemic, she insisted on this.
The Supreme Court’s decision to hold the above-stated entrance examinations is highly opposed. Not only in India but the foreigner personalities are also supporting students against the decision.
Now, Climate Activist Greta Thunberg united with the Indian Students and showed her displeasure against the court’s order. She said that it is unfair for pupils to appear for exams in the middle of a global pestilence.
She also referred that the students of India that the floods had hit states like Bihar and Assam, which cause mass devastation for the citizens. According to her, the conduction of exams in the middle of the pandemic is highly discriminatory.
Greta wrote on her Twitter handle that It’s deeply unfair to sit for national exams during the Covid-19 pandemic and while severe floods have already created the miserable situations.
Furthermore, she wrote that she stands with the call to postpone the NEET and JEE Main 2020 examinations in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. Many students also responded to her tweet. They indicated their gratitude and reverence for her words.
Students against NEET, JEE 2020
Students are actively participating against the Supreme Court’s decision to hold the entrance examinations. Supreme Court ordered NTA to conduct these examinations by the end of September.
Many students also filed a plea in the Supreme Court. They said that NEET and JEE exams are not feasible amid the pandemic. Also, the apex court should postpone the exams.
The Supreme Court dismissed the plea to postpone the exams. Also, it stated that the conduction of exams is necessary for the future of the students.
