Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C N Ashwath Narayan said on Monday that Karnataka would become the first state in India to implement the NEP, National Education Policy.
Mr. Narayan, who holds the portfolio of higher education, said the Karnataka government is doing all preparations. They are preparing for administrative reforms and amendments to the laws which are essential to implement the NEP
He further added while addressing the inaugural online workshop that Karnataka would become the first state in the country to implement the policy.
However, the Bangalore University organized the inaugural session of a five-day online workshop on Highlights of the NEP and its implementation.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the Karnataka government is moving forward with regard to this with certain goals and a clear plan.
NEW NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY 2020: KEY POINTS
Mr. Ashwath Narayan added a high-level task force was composed instantly after the draft of the National Education Policy reached them. Moreover, several meetings have already been held by this committee.
He said that the advisory group has just come out with proposals to execute the arrangement in a staged way and just the suggestions of the final stage are anticipated.

Mr. Narayan explained that the authoritative and legitimate steps would be taken when the final suggestions are made. He said the new NEP policy would make excellent instruction accessible to all students profiting the entire framework with quality teaching.
