GOVERNMENT OF DELHI DECLARES SUMMER VACATIONS FOR GOVT AND GOVT- AIDED SCHOOLS

Due to current COVID-10 pandemic, the teaching and school learning activities have been marked stopped since 23 march 2020 by Prime Minister Modi as soon as he imposed the nationwide lockdown.

New Delhi: The AAP- led Govt in Delhi on Wednesday (May 6, 2020) declared summer vacations for all the government and government-aided schools.

 

In the official statement, the govt said, “The summer vacation in Govt and Govt aided schools shall be observed, as usual, from May 11 to June 30, 2020, for students. However, keeping in view the COVID-19 pandemic, students shall not be called to schools for any teaching-learning activity during the summer vacation.”

 

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all the activities of schools and colleges have been barred by the Government of India since March 23,

The lockdown has further been extended till May 17.

 

All the delegates of Delhi Govt and the government-aided that come schools under the Directorate of Education have also been informed to focus that all students of their respective schools are further informed regarding the summer vacations through either messaging services or online platforms like WhatsApp.

From this Delhi became the first state to declare holidays till 30 June. This initiative can be considered to protect its students from the ongoing novel Coronavirus.
