GATE scholarship 2020 has been announced by the All India Council for Technical Education for the students of M.Tech/ M.E./ M.Arch for the academic year 2020-21. All those students who have a valid GATE score at the time of admission and are admitted in any of the AICTE approved institutions in the academic year 2020-21 will be eligible for the GATE PG scholarship.

a monthly stipend of Rs.12,400 per month will be provided to the students for a period of 24 months or till the completion of the course. Whichever of the two comes earlier. an annual contingency grant of Rs.20,000 is also provided to the students.

Candidates need to proceed with filling the GATE PG scholarship form and need to get their student IDs validated to receive the scholarship.

The following are the details that need to be filled correctly:-

Bank account number, institute permanent ID, students ID, and date of birth

The above details need to be filled correctly and failing to do so can result in disbursal of scholarship.

The institutes will have to verify and submit the data of all the candidates after filling of the forms is completed. this applies for all the candidates in M.Tech/M.E./M.Arch for 2020-21 academic year through GATE.

31 December is the last date to verify and submit students data for the institutes to AICTE. The scholarship will be granted from the date of commencement of classes/dates of admission whichever is earlier. The GATE scholarship will be given to the students directly in their account.

Having a savings account in their name is a must for the candidates to receive the GATE scholarship 2020. Candidates of the OBC-Creamy layer who cleared/qualified GATE 2020 under the OBC category will not be considered eligible for the scholarship. And those candidates who qualified under any of the reserved category (SC/ST/PwD/OBC-NCL)  must possess a valid certificate of category and failing to produce one, they will be not be considered for the scholarship.
