Bhupendrasinh Chudasama is the Education Minister of Gujarat. He said that he will allow the educational institutions to open in his state amid the coronavirus pandemic.
He announced that from November 23, physical classes of students of class 9 to 12 will begin in Gujarat. All the educational institutions in Gujarat will adhere to the SOPs that the Government of India provided. Due to covid 19 and consequent lockdown, all the educational institutions were shut down.
The risk of opening educational institutions was high and that is why the state government did not reopen the institutions. Now, they have to follow the SOPs of the Government of India.
GUJARAT CM ASKED TO PREPARE SOP FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
At first, the Education Minister held a meeting with the department officials of Gujarat. He instructed them to prepare the SOPs for institutions. Moreover, he said that Chief Minister Vijay Rupani asked to prepare the SOPs.
He asked so to reopen the school of class 9th to 12th students. Chudasama said that is why he held a meeting and asked the officials to prepare SOPs.
OFFICIALS PREPARED SOP TO OPEN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
The Vice-Chancellors of different institutions and people associated with the management of schools are a part of the list of stakeholders.
The administration consulted the officials through video conferencing to prepare SOPs for opening schools and other institutions.
WILL SCHOOLS REOPEN FOR CLASSES 1 TO 8 ALSO?
The Education Minister said that after the preparation of SOPs, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel will consult with the education and health departments. Therefore, he will finally decide when to reopen schools and colleges. Moreover, they will also think to reopen schools from classes 1 to 8.
