The Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) has asked applications for girl students to provide various scholarships. Girls who have passed class 10 exams 2020 from CBSE-affiliated schools can go for the ‘CBSE merit scholarship scheme for single girl child’ for class 12 studies. Those who have availed of the scholarship in 2019 can also continue their application.

Students need to adapt their applications by December 10. A hard copy of the application form (renewal only) has to be submitted on or before December 28, as per the official notice.

Hard copies collected after the last date shall not be entertained, said the official notice by CBSE.

The motive of the proposal is to provide scholarships to the meritorious single girl child students, who are the only child of their parents and have passed the CBSE class 10 exams with 60 percent or more marks. The CBSE scholarship is distributed based on merit.
