Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) has started visiting places across Delhi to educate school children as per their newly launched Basti Ki Pathshala campaign. The campaign has been undertaken by DUSU with over 200 volunteers.
Basti ki Pathshala initiative started by DUSU along with SFS is a step to educate students belonging to economically weaker sections who have given up their studies. The initiative is taken forward to develop the personalities of these unprivileged students.
Akshit Dahiya, DUTA President said that they have spotted 100 places around DU colleges around Delhi. DUSU will start study centers at these 100 places across Delhi. In these study centers, the DUSU volunteers will teach students belonging to the economically weaker section. Students for services organization will be assisting the DUSU team in the Basti ki Pathshala initiative. The Delhi University Students Union is planning to have 700 members from all the 70 Delhi University colleges.

700 Delhi University Students To Volunteer For Basti Ki Pathshala
DUSU President while releasing its poster said they have around 200 volunteers in their team and all of them will have an online workshop. The foremost objective of the campaign is to bestow attention on the students who have missed their education due to Covid-19. With the return of Delhi University students on the reopening of colleges, we will recruit 10 volunteers from every college. He added that the campaign will run across different parts of Delhi so that more and more students can be benefitted from it.
The campaign has been started on the first memorial day of BJP leader Arun Jaitley on 24th August. Arun Jaitley himself has been a former DUTA president and in his remembrance, DUSU has decided to commence these classes. Under Basti ki Pathshala Campain, Voluntary organization SFS along with DUSU will deliver education to thousands of children.
