DUSU

The Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) has submitted a memorandum to the Dean of Colleges Prof. Balram Paani of the University of Delhi, seeking steps to give concessions in college fees to the students. Some DU colleges have issued notices for depositing college fees. In such a situation, due to the introduction of classes in online mode, DUSU has demanded that the students should not be charged for their resources if they are not used.

Also, due to the closure of work for several months, keeping in view the economic condition of the parents, they have demanded a concession in fees. DUSU has also demanded that the concessional college fees should be taken in installments and not in a lump sum.

Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) president Akshit Dahiya says, “DU has started classes in online mode from August 10. Some colleges have also issued notice to deposit fees. Students are not using the facilities of electricity, water, sports, etc therefore, they should not be charged for these things. There should be a provision for concession in the total fees keeping in mind the current situation. The points we have raised are reasonable and quick decisions on them should be taken.”

ADMISSION TEST OF DELHI UNIVERSITY TO BE HELD FROM SEPTEMBER 6-11

DUSU co-secretary Shivangi Kharwal says, “There are a lot of difficulties in front of people at the present time, decisions should be taken keeping them in mind. DUSU has put the demands of common students in front of the administration regarding fees, we hope that understanding the seriousness of the situation, the administration of colleges will give concession in fees in the interests of students. ”
