The University of Delhi issued a notice dated 22 June 2020 in reference to the Common Service Centre (CSC). The Varsity is all set to hold the final sem/year examination in the open book examination format. Despite immense opposition to this decision by both students and teachers fraternity due to numerous legit and logical reasons, the university will hold the examination in the OBE format as per the datasheet issued.

OPEN BOOK EXAMINATIONS: GUIDELINES RELEASED BY DU FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED STUDENTS

Many students have expressed their inability to arrange for the requisite internet services and many have reported unavailability of the required hardware. In remote areas with low internet connectivity, students are disappointed by this move.
Keeping these issues in view, the university has arranged a facility for students to attempt their examination from the nearest CSC free of cost.

The notice clarified that since the university is going to conduct the open book examination as a one time measure, due to the prevailing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, for the final sem/year/term students (including ex-students) of undergraduate and postgraduate courses (including SOL and NCWEB) for the academic session 2019-20 from 1 July 2020 onwards.

DU STUDENTS, TEACHERS DETAINED BY THE POLICE FOR PROTESTING AGAINST OBE

To ease this process, the University has engaged with the CSC academy under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information technology (MeitY), Government of India, to facilitate the students with either limited or no network and hardware facility to appear for the OBE without payment of any fee.

All those students who intend to avail the ICT infrastructure facility at the Common Service Centre (CSC) should note the following information related tot he CSC:

1) The nearest CSC center can be spotted by the students through the CSC locator by clicking at this link here.
