Under the application process released for admission to undergraduate courses in Delhi University, maximum of three categories of ECA and sports can be selected in the application form. In this way, students should fill only any three sports or three ECA (Extracurricular Activity) in the form.
Three documents have to be uploaded for sports and five documents for ECA. The best three out of five ECA documents will be evaluated. This information was given on the open day (online webinar) organized for ECA and sports admission at Delhi University.
In this webinar organized on Google Meet, Dean Admission Prof. Pinky Sharma, Hindu College Principal Prof. Anju Srivastava, Dean Music Faculty, Prof. Deepti Bhalla, DU Sports Council Director Dr. Anil Kalkal, Admission Branch member Suman Kumar gave information about the application process, admission process of ECA and sports as well as answer the questions of the students. Can one apply under the OBC category now?
To this, it replied that the slip of the application made for the OBC certificate can be uploaded in the form. This way, they can apply under the OBC category.
Will there be a deduction of marks on changing the stream?
To this, it was replied that if a student did not study any subject in class XII and now wants to take admission in that subject at the graduation level, then there will be a deduction of 2.5 percent from his marks.
A student asked whether she can study an event management course?
It was replied that this course is not taught in DU.
Prof Anil Kalkal said about sports certificates that they should be genuine and correct. Also, they were advised to fill the form carefully and upload the documents correctly.
Application for ECA and Merit-based courses can be done through the Common Registration Form only. For details of documents, read the information bulletin available on the DU admission portal carefully. Dr. Suman said that the bulletin contains all kinds of information. Just read it carefully and upload the documents carefully.
