DU NCWEB: To impart computer and technical knowledge to girl students, a ten-day online workshop on Fundamentals of Information Technology is being organized at the Center for Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board, Deen Dayal Upadhyay College, University of Delhi. This program will run till August 16. More than 1800 students have registered for the program. This program is organized in two sessions.

The first session will run till 16 August while the second session is scheduled from 18 to 28 August 2021. This program is providing an opportunity for the students to gain knowledge on computers during the COVID-19 pandemic at no charge. The program was organized by Dr. Geeta Bhatt, Director, NCWEB, University of Delhi.

He said that this workshop embodies the Ekatma Manav Darshan of Deen Dayal Ji, where a call has been made to take resources to the last person of the society.
He said that the Digital India Mission was launched by the Prime Minister in 2015 and in the same episode, this workshop would benefit the girl students of DU NCWEB.

College Principal Prof Hemchand Jain while boosting the morale of the girl students said that her institute is always dedicated to women empowerment.
The workshop is being organized daily in four batches of two hours each.

This program is the third part of the series of events organized by DDU College since 2019. The objective of the program is to impart knowledge on MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint along with access to the Internet to female students.
