Addressing this, dean admissions Shibha Bagai shared that the admission committee has urged the colleges to refrain from making any deductions in the percentage on the grounds of change of stream. Earlier this deduction used to be done on the belief that science students score better than humanities and hence they might take up a huge number no. of seats leading to a major disadvantage for humanities students. But, as now all studies are becoming interdisciplinary, this belief holds no grounds.
