Delhi University is ready to begin the DU admission process for the academic session 2020-21. The varsity has already declared the first cut-off lists of colleges and is ready to begin the online admission process.

Till last year, students had to visit the respective college to verify their documents. But, this year, due to COVID-19, the varsity would hold the admission process online. There are many things that every DU aspirant should know while taking DU admission into any college. One of them is about relaxation.

GIRLS COLLEGE DOES NOT GRANT 1 PERCENT RELAXATION

As everybody knows that Delhi University comprises of both co-educational colleges and girls colleges. So, the varsity offers 1 percent relaxation to the girls in some colleges of Delhi University. This decision lies with the respective college whether they want to grant this 1 percent relaxation to girls or not.

ONLY SOME COLLEGES OFFER 1 PERCENT RELAXATION

First of all, the administration of girls colleges does not grants 1 percent relaxation to the students that are taking admission into that college. This 1 percent relaxation is given in some of the co-educational colleges of Delhi University.

Some of the colleges include Ramjas College, Aryabhatta College, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, Dyal Singh College (morning and evening), Motilal Nehru College (morning and evening ), Ram Lal Anand College, PGDAV College (morning and evening), Rajdhani College, Ramanujan College, Shivaji College, Satyawati College (morning and evening) and many more.

However, the admission committee of respective colleges may or may not grant 1 percent relaxation to girls in all the courses. The varsity releases 1 percent relaxation list along with the cut-off list of other colleges. It is mentioned at the end of the cut-off list released on the official website of Delhi University.
