Delhi University cancels some exams for the second semester that have already planned to begin on July 20. As the national capital reeling under a flood-like situation.

In a notification, the university said that the schedule followed from July 20. All exams before revoked contained the “centenary chance” examinations.

On July 13, the university said, It advised the data all concerned that the UGCF-NEP sem exam – was regular. The NCWEB, SOL, and the centenary chance special examination scheduled revoked due to unforeseen events.”

The varsity said that exams planned in two shifts on July 17, 18, and 19 stands canceled. While the rest of the examination timetable remains unchanged. Delhi University cancels some exams for the second semester that have already planned to begin on July 20.

“The new dates for the canceled or rescheduled examination will be notified shortly. The exam was organized after the mentioned date July 20 and onwards. It became crucial to note that only the exams for the UGCF-NEP course and centenary special chance exam were affected by this cancellation,” the notification read.

DU has delayed the intermediary and final-year exams for the instant and planned to conduct them in the coming months. However, the students have been urging a complete recess of exams as well as online classes.

“This wave of Covid 19 has hit everyone, both professors and pupils. If they go forward with the exams at any stage it’ll be a terrible burden for everyone,” opines Sumaho Guha.

She is a second-year student of Kirori Mal College, DU, adding “No one is in the right mood to either write an exam or review the answer scripts. They should revoke the exams entirely for the second year. Teachers should put great weight on the tasks so that pupils can put more effort into them. The exams for third-year students are vital, so they could be postponed further.”
