Delhi University Examination wing has released a notification clarifying the queries regarding the first phase of OBE examinations held in August. The first phase of OBE was held in August. However, students were left in turmoils after no confirmation was received from Delhi University upon submission of their answer scripts via e-mails.
The University has released clarification regarding the queries related to the first phase of the OBE examination as sought by the Principals of the Delhi University Colleges.
Submission of Answer Scripts of OBE Examination through portal/e-mail
The University of Delhi has clarified that the students who submitted the scanned photos of answer scripts on the online portal and through e-mail will be considered for evaluation. Furthermore, if any student has not received any confirmation mail from the University for submission of their answer scripts through e-mail, they are advised to maintain a record of the e-mail sent by them that carries the attachment of their answer scripts. The students will be required to show the e-mail as the proof to the examination branch in case any discrepancy is noticed.
Queries Related to Internal Assessment of Students
In case of any discrepancy related to the Internal assessment of students, the Principal of their respective college may assess the merit of the students and accordingly bring forward such case to the examination branch along with justifiable reasons for the same. Also, they will be required to send the relevant documents within 10 days so that the same may be rectified at the earliest.
Delhi University Evaluation of SEC and AECC papers of CBCS
Concerning the notification dated 21.08.2020, DU stated that the exam portal for evaluation of the answer sheets of the SEC and AECC papers of OBE in electronic/digital mode has been disbursed to the respective subject examiners by the Delhi University Computer Centre. Accordingly, significant advice and suggestions may be given to the examiners of the college to pace up the evaluation process of OBE exams.
The University is trying every possible way to complete the evaluation process within one week. This is to make sure that the DU escalates the results at the earliest by abiding by the guidelines issued by the Delhi High Court.
Accordingly, University of Delhi is supposed to present the timeline for the declaration of OBE result before the Delhi High Court on 22 September.
