DU and Delhi Government: The dispute between the Delhi government and the DU over the extension of the governing body deadline has been staved off. The University of Delhi has extended the governing body time boundary of 28 colleges funded by the Delhi government.

A notification regarding the expansion of the governing body of 28 government-funded colleges in Delhi was issued by the Joint Registrar of Delhi University on Friday. He has said that based on the instructions of the Competent Authority regarding that letter of the Government, the demand of the Deputy Chief Minister regarding extension of three months in colleges has been accepted from 13 March 2021.
It was also notified that after that 50 percent of the nominated members should be sent by the university panel to the members of the governing body for 28 colleges funded by the Delhi government which would be for one year.
