On Thursday, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) associated with the Industry leaders advised Ramesh Pokriyal, Human Resource Development Minister, to set up an in the education division to organize relations and better training results.

The chairman of Hero Entreprises and joint managing director of Hero Motocorp, Sunil Kant Munjal, requested Ramesh Pokriyal during an education event composed by the CII that they should begin a task force with the HRD ministry.

Munjal, who sits on the leading group of various top education establishments including IIM-Ahmedabad and Indian Institute of Business (ISB) said he supports the HRD minister proposal of a more grounded industry-academia connection.

He said the industry-government team on education can take a shot at issues identified with innovative work, financing, and approaches to execute top-notch training at the institutional level.

Chairman of DCM Shriram, Ajay Sriram, told that institutionalizing industry-government team relations via a taskforce in education will act as a bridge and a to fill the missing link.

He requested the minister to see if quality foreign universities can be allowed to come to India and impart degrees so that the country does not lose a lot of money that parents are now spending on overseas education.
The chairman of the governing body of Shriram College of Commerce, and Past President of CII, Sriram, requested Ramesh Pokriyal, the HRD minister to look into the matter of the role of industry in enhancing the excellence of a lot of institutions presently lagging.

Ramesh Pokhriyal explained that he is in favor of collaborating with industry-academic and his service is looking for ways if education in certain areas can be conferred similarly in the classroom and on the industry floors to enhance practical knowledge and industry readiness.

The ministry further highlighted that education administrators must collaborate with industries. He said that he will invite some industry leaders for talks at the ministry and will make a decision about this discussion.

Ramesh Pokhriyal mentioned that he is deciding to make a meeting of industry leaders with the apex decision-making body of the IIT council and IISER Council and he will join the meeting too. Pokhriyal, said about the education disturbances due to COVID-19, that that will try to develop a model that benefits all.
