DU ADMISSION 2020

DU admission process has been made entirely online this year in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. The registration portal for admission to the UG, PG, and Mphil programs is active on Delhi University’s official website.

Although this online application submission facility will be closed on July 4, 2020. As per records, more than 1.26 lakh students had already registered on the portal on 24 June under the UG program at Delhi University. It is noteworthy that the University receives the highest number of applications for the Undergraduate program every year. 41704 applicants have applied for the PG programs whereas has 5356 have applied for Ph.D. and MPhil.

DU ADMISSION 2020: NCWEB BOARD REGISTRATIONS CAN BE DONE ON DELHI UNIVERSITY UG PORTAL

As per the last year’s data, 367895 applications were received through the university’s admission portal out of which 258388 applications were completed with all the steps and the fee payment too. Maximum no. of applications were for BA(Hons) English and BA(Hons) Political Science followed by BA Programme.

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 worldwide, the DU Admission process is also affected and got delayed. Not just that, even the CBSE and other board exams and hence results were pending as of till now. CBSE has recently canceled class 10 and class 12 examinations by giving the class 12 students, a chance to appear for the examination later if they wish to.
In context to the undeclared board results as per now, the candidates applying for the undergraduate admissions can submit their online registration form currently and mark the result ‘awaited’ in the ‘Result status’ drop-down menu on the “Academic Details” page/section while entering the information.

Recently the university had also organized a webinar to address the student’s queries related to the admission process and year and about the online portal.
Few changes in the criteria have been made by the university, this year.

Even the admissions on the basis of ECA quota stands canceled due to the inability to hold interviews and trials in any concerned skill or field.
Admission under the sports quota will be carried out solely on the basis of certificates and those with certificates of NCC and NSS will also be included.

  1. IF A CHILD IS 12TH PASS PREVIOUS YEAR BUT HAS APPEARED FOR IMPROVEMENT IN ONE PAPER THIS YEAR.THEN WHICH ROLL NO. AND YEAR OF PASSING SHOULD BE FILLED IN DU ENTRANCE FORM
