On Monday, world-renowned K-pop band, BTS performed their song Permission to Dance at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly Hall and outside the arena.

Three years after last following the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, they returned to New York to participate in this year’s session as a special presidential envoy to future generations and culture.

The 7 members of the South Korean music act were accompanied by their chairman Moon Jae-in, who introduced them as “the world’s favorite artist” at the end of their speech.

He then handover the stage to the seven members – Jin, RM, V, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, and Jungkook. They said they are here today to share the stories of a future generation.

Their song touched upon various topics. They talk about climate change, vaccination against Covid-19. J-Hope (Jung Ho-Seok) said after a lot of people were asking if we are vaccinated or not. And he answered on the stage saying yes, all seven of us received vaccinations. He further added that vaccination is a ticket for them to meet their fans who are waiting for them for so long.

RM concluded as the performance began that Permission to Dance is a perfect song to express what we want to share with everyone.
