The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) issued the rankings for top institutes and universities in India. Jawahar Lal University’s (JNU) ranked no. 2 in the entire country just after the Indian Institutes of sciences. The Rankings were issues by NIRF under the Ministry of Education. Wherein the rankings of these different educational institute’s based on the active participation of the researchers.
A highly credible parameter was set for the institutions. Which included research outreach, learning, teaching, and many more things taken into consideration.

JNU PRESS NOTE
A press note was issued by the University today after the incredible achievement in the NIRF rankings. The university congratulated the entire JNU family and thanked each one of them. Both the teaching as well as the non-teaching staff along with the students and academicians congratulated. It’s a matter of great pride and this is a matter of satisfaction for the whole JNU community.
In the press note released the university, appreciated. It’s a matter of great pleasure that JNU remains the only central university at the top. And consecutively for the fifth time in a row, JNU’s ranked as second in the NIRF rankings by the MOE.
JNU’S VC STATEMENT
The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the whole JNU family. In the press note, Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar congratulated the faculty members. The student community, the staff, and the officers of JNU.
He said, that we feel extremely delighted that even in the present global Covid pandemic. The university was able to maintain its rankings. He thanked the teachers and the students of the institution who have put their efforts and energy and continued their research.
Also, the students and the teachers concentrated their entire energy. And completed their research with utmost sincerity.
Moreover, the letter stated that they draw immense happiness and pleasure from the creative research and teaching programs in JNU. The JNU remains one of the best institutes in the country in terms of innovative research and teaching. And remains as the top institutes among the central university.
