The Master of Science in Environmental Science degree program has been launched by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) from the academic session of January 2021.
The School of Inter-Disciplinary and Trans-Disciplinary Studies will offer this course at IGNOU. It will be offered through ODL mode.
The course aims to generate skilled man-power to tackle the growing environmental and developmental problems and changes arising from the transition to a sustainable society. Insights of socio-economic causes and the characteristics of pollution and degradation of the natural environment also include the effects on human beings, the atmosphere, ecosystem, and the other organisms will be given by this program, said the university.
Learners will be provided the necessary means in the program to develop the capacity to carry out independent assessments on environmental issues.
