The first cut-off is likely to release on Saturday. The Delhi University will announce the admission cut-offs for 70,000 seats.
The students are strictly told that the admission process will be completely online. The coronavirus pandemic had made a shift to the online mode this year. The varsity officials informed that no one will be allowed to enter the college premises. Thus, students are not allowed to visit the college for the admission process.
An official at the university said that the students will be allowed to apply for admission on October 12 starting from 10 am. However, the entire process will be online. Students will be denied entry, so they are restricted to visit their respective departments and colleges.
This year 3.54 lakh applications were received by the Delhi University. It the highest number till now. As more students have scored over 90 percent this year in their CBSE 12th Board Examination, the cut-offs are going to surge high. Most applications are from the CBSE board.

Political Science Hons from Hindu College bagged the highest cut-off last year with 99 percent. The next position is secured by the Lady Shri Ram College with a cut off of 98.75 percent for the Psychology Hons and BA program.
The highest cut-off for Physics Honours was released by the Hindu College i.e. 98.3 percent.
The finalization of cut-offs will be done soon, the college principals said.
St Stephen’s College released its cut off for undergraduate students last month. It announced its first cut-off list. The highest cut off was decided for BA (Hons) Economics and placed at 99.25 percent.
The Principal of St Stephen’s College said that this year the classrooms will be allowed to accommodate a limited number of students. Social Distancing norms being the reason. Thus, the cut-offs have to be set higher.

Anonymous Principals informed that the DU authorities have asked them to finalize the cut-offs. These cut-offs need to be uploaded on the websites by 1 pm on Saturday.
The UGC guidelines and the update from the Delhi University say that the new session will commence from November 18. However, there is no information on whether the classes will be held online or the offline classes will start. The students can check the university portal from time to time.
