An official website for CAT 2020 has been launched by the Indian Institute of Management Indore or IIM Indore. The website has been launched for the applicants who want to apply for an enhanced test to the Indian Institute of Management Indore.

Students who want to appear for the CAT are requested to apply online on the official website of IIM Indore that is iimcat.ac.in. The online process will start from August 5 and the last date to apply online if September 16.

In two sessions, the Common Admission Test 2020, or CAT, is planned to conduct on November 29. Moreover, a statement issued by the Indian Institute of Management Indore said that the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2020 is to be led considering the Covid-19 pandemic.

The statement issued by IIM Indore further added that the information is given on the Common Admission Test 2020, or the CAT website is dependent upon the choices and headings gave every now and then by the Central, and State governments, and CAT Group.

The statement mentioned that the applicants are requested to visit the CAT websites regularly for the latest information regarding CAT 2020.

Each year more than two lakh candidates appear for admission tests. Common Admission Test or CAT is a national level entrance examination and offers admission in more than 600 B-schools all over the world.

The time duration of the admission test of the CAT is nearly 3 hours. The admission test is based on three sections that are reading comprehension, verbal ability, data interpretation, and quantitative aptitude, and logical reasoning.

In approximately 156 cities the admission test CAT will be conducted in multiple test centers. As per their preferred candidates for a choose up to 6 test cites in the CAT online application.

CAT 2020 Admit card details: According to the CAT 2020 schedule, candidates are able to download the admit card of the admission test from October 28 till the date of the test, November 29. The statement further added that tutorials will also be available on the official websites and students can easily go through the CAT 2020 exam pattern and format of the admission test. The online tutorial will start on October 16 on the official website.

To apply for CAT students must have a minimum of 50% marks in graduation. Moreover, the SC / ST / PwD students need 45% marks. There is no age or attempt limit for this exam. Students who are in final year can also apply for this test.

Last year, CAT was performed by IIM Kozhikode, and 2,44,169 students registered for the exam. The applicant who took the exam were 2,09,926 in number. 10 candidates scored the perfect 100 percentile in the exam.

CAT is the national level entrance exam. The exam conducted annually by one of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). All IIMS consider CAT scores for admission in PGP / MBA and FPM courses offered by them.

Selected applicants based on CAT scores go through the prescribed selection process by the IIMs, which mostly includes group discussion and a personal interview. Apart from the IIMs, CAT score is also considered for admission in MBA courses by other B-Schools too.

CAT is a computer-based test, in which questions are asked from Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). The syllabus of CAT is never defined by the IIMs but topics like Sentence Corrections, Idioms, Syllogisms, Antonyms and Synonyms, Pie Chart, Statement Conclusions, Puzzles, Trigonometry, Probability, Permutation and Combination etch are asked.

The exam is of a total of 300 marks and the total number of questions asked is 100. For each correct answer, the candidates get 3 marks and 1 mark is deducted for attempting a question incorrectly. The complete duration of the exam is 3 hours and the candidates are asked MCQ and TOTA type questions.

Type in The Answers or TITA type questions is the type of question where the candidates have to type the answer using the virtual keyboard.
