Due to the coronavirus crises, it is difficult for the universities to conduct entrance exams and for 2020-21 admission. That is why many universities are planning for merit-based admission this year instead of entrance exams.

Amongst them, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has decided to change the admission criteria this year. IIMC would be granting admission to students on the basis of merit instead of entrance exam. IIMC has decided that it will select students on the basis of their marks secured by them up to their graduation level. Then they have to appear for an online interview. This year, IIMC would not conduct an entrance exam for post-graduation courses. The entire admission criteria would be merit-based.

LIST OF COURSES OFFERED BY IIMC

IIMC offers post-graduation courses in Hindi Journalism, English Journalism, Urdu Journalism, Radio and TV, Advertisement and Public Relations (ADPR) and in many other languages like Malayalam, Marathi and Oriya.
