University Grants Commission: Be cautious of “self-styled” university

The self-styled Digital University of Skill Resurgence known as a Virtual Meta University is established in Delhi. So, the University Grants Commission has warned the students against the varsity. It is offering courses in “gross violation” of rules and acts that the commission established. It is made for recognition of higher education institutions in the country.

This meta university does not have any authority to award degrees. It can neither use the word university in its name. So, the UGC advised the students not to take admitted to the institute.

The commission released a circular. In the circular, it said that the Digital University of Skill Resurgence is not included under Section 2(f) or Section 3 in the list of Universities. Moreover, it does not have any authority to award any degree as per Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956.

The University Grants Commission also said that no institution, whether a corporate body or not, other than a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act. a Provincial Act, or a State Act is allowed to use the word University at last.

Do not take admitted into the self-styled university

So, all the students, parents, and other stakeholders are advised to nor to take admission in this university. This self-styled institution can even jeopardize the career of the students.
